Bradford National Bank Celebrating Five Years in Highland
(Highland) Bradford National Bank will celebrate its five year anniversary in Highland on Saturday, October 20th from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The event will be held at Bradford National Bank Highland located at 1100 Mercantile Drive.
The anniversary celebration will feature live bluegrass music, food prepared by the Highland Lions Club, cake, cider, activities for the kids including Cash in the Haystack, prizes and much more. Plus, children dressed in costume can have their pictures taken and receive a custom print in a commemorative anniversary frame.
Bradford National Bank broke ground on the Highland facility on May 15, 2002 in a ceremony that featured City and Chamber representatives, bank employees and Korte Construction, who served as the general contractor for the project. By popular demand from the Highland community, a temporary banking facility was placed adjacent to the construction site shortly thereafter so that the bank could begin business. The new facility officially opened on October 22, 2002 and a grand opening was held a few weeks later.
Since its opening, Bradford National Bank has been very active in the Highland community, supporting the many great school, events, activities and organizations. Bradford serves as the primary sponsor for the Latzer Homestead Christmas program and is actively involved in the Hard Road Theatre.
In September of this year, Bradford National Bank celebrated its 140th anniversary with a special event in Greenville. The bank was founded in 1867 by James Bradford as The Banking House of Bradford and Sons. In 1910 the bank received its national charter and became known as Bradford National Bank.
Bradford National Bank president Frank Joy said, “Its been a wonderful five years bringing community banking to Highland. The city has welcomed us in so many ways. It is a great privilege to serve this area and we are looking forward to an even bigger role in the years to come.” He added, “I would like to personally invite the residents of Highland to stop by and help us celebrate this milestone event with us.”
