Dear Bradford National Bank ATM/Debit Cardholder:
For many years the Bradford National Bank has partnered with the SHAZAM network to provide the most up to date protection for your debit card. In the past you may have received a phone call from a SHAZAM Fraud Specialist to verify your debit card transactions. Currently those phone calls are made after a transaction has occurred, with the purpose of halting further fraudulent transactions on your account.
This fraud protection service is now being enhanced so that debit card transactions will be monitored as they occur and those with the greatest likelihood of fraud will be stopped. This will provide a new and valuable layer of protection to your account.
If your debit card is declined at a merchant location, it may be because the transaction was determined to be highly likely to be fraudulent, typically because the transaction was outside your normal pattern of debit card usage. If your transaction is declined for this reason a SHAZAM Fraud Specialist will attempt to contact you by phone to verify the transaction. If it was a legitimate transaction, it will be made part of your card profile so that these types of transactions have a greater chance of being approved in the future.
Because of these enhanced fraud protections, it is very important for SHAZAM and us to have your current home and cell phone numbers. If you have not previously provided these numbers please do so by calling us at 618-664-2200 ext. 1117. Please note that no one from the Bradford National Bank or SHAZAM will ever call you to ask for your confidential account information.
